Fixing Adoption Through Workflow Redesign
The problem
Enterprise users were abandoning the Authoring module due to workflow complexity and interface friction, directly impacting renewal conversations.
What I did
Led full discovery and redesign: user research, stakeholder alignment, workflow restructuring and requirements definition. Delivered a new product direction that addressed adoption blockers.

Building a Scalable Design Foundation
The problem
No shared design language existed. Each feature shipped differently. Design-engineering handoff was manual, inconsistent and slow.
What I did
Created and implemented the company's first design system: components, tokens, patterns and documentation. Engineering adoption eliminated a major category of design debt.

Enterprise Software
Seagull Scientific — BarTender
Leading a SaaS Product Transition
The problem
BarTender was moving complex legacy enterprise labeling workflows to SaaS. No product requirements. No design precedent. High engineering risk.
What I did
Defined product requirements, designed new workflows and collaborated with engineering to ship an experience that reduced complexity without sacrificing power-user capability.

Defining Product Foundations for a Startup
The problem
The organization needed to transform complex landscaping operations, including sales, scheduling, crews, properties, and financial workflows, into a cohesive SaaS product while competing against mature industry solutions
What I did
Owned discovery, workflow architecture, requirements definition, and UX design. Partnered with stakeholders and engineering teams to define how the product should work, establish priorities, and create scalable workflows that could support future growth.

About
About Andrea
I enjoy working on products most designers avoid: complex workflows, operational systems, and software that requires balancing business goals, technical realities, and user needs.
Over the last 11+ years, I've worked across enterprise software, healthcare, IoT, field service management, scheduling, labeling, and SaaS platforms. I help teams turn complexity into clear product direction, scalable workflows, and intuitive user experiences.
While much of my work focuses on discovery, requirements, and product strategy, I also care deeply about design craft. I believe powerful software shouldn't feel complicated, and that thoughtful interface design is what transforms complex systems into products people actually want to use.
My background in front-end development allows me to collaborate closely with engineering teams and design solutions that are both usable and feasible to build.
